Tish Note - November 2025

November 2025

Hi Friends!

Sorry it’s been a while. September and October got pretty busy. Lots of travel!

The September Switzerland tour with Grouchy Like Riley and friends tour was fun, beautiful, and very memorable. Our friend and promoter Martin Meier and our bus driver, Martin, were wonderful. Marvin Dykhuis, Chip Dolan, and I had played concerts in Switzerland before, but those days were hectic and we didn’t get much sight seeing in. This trip was a lot more relaxed and we all got to enjoy beautiful countryside and many more cultural experiences such as chocolate making at the Cailler Chocolate Factory, a glass blowing factory, a mountain top restaurant in Weisenburg, and Charlie Chaplin’s home and museum…And a bus load of fan friends!! Oh yes, our concerts were very fun and well attended too.

After Switzerland, I travelled to Seattle to visit my son and his family, where we then took a road trip to visit another family friend in Bend, Oregon. Bend is such a beautiful town. I loved hanging out with my kids and grandkids, and a very colorful street festival was going on too. This added another dimension of fun to our road trip!

A couple of weeks later, Lynn and I and some friends went on a thirty-two day cruise in the South Pacific - What an adventure that was! We visited Hawaii, American Samoa, Western Samoa, Fiji, and Tahiti. What wonderful people and gorgeous Islands.

The ship was really fun and there was so much to do. All the staff was so kind. We discovered a beautiful and very talented Irish singer-songwriter that was performing as part of the ship’s entertainment. Her name is Jennifer Lyons from Cork, Ireland. Of course, her job on the ship was mostly to sing cover songs, which she performed beautifully, but her voice and her own material is beautiful too. We were her groupies on board and are encouraging her to pursue a career in the U.S. I hope she does! If anything, hopefully we can get her to play in Austin.

We just returned to Texas a couple of days ago and are in re-entry mode. I’m happy to be back, carrying so many enchanting and fun memories. I’m looking forward to getting back into my music, the holidays coming up..and….my 70th birthday, December 6th -It’s hard to believe!! Wow, I feel so lucky to have acquired so many wonderful friends and a great family in my life.

Come to my upcoming shows and celebrate with me!

Tish Note - July 2025

Hi Friends!

Mid-summer greetings to you all! I hope your summer is going well.

First of all, what's on my mind is sending condolences and comfort wishes to all who suffered loss, especially of family and loved ones in the devastating floods of the Guadalupe River in Texas over the 4th of July weekend. I understand that this situation is not yet over in the Texas Hill Country, and that other parts of the U.S. have suffered flood tragedies as well. Not the light-hearted summer everyone hopes for and a heavy burden for all to bear.

There are many organizations in the hill country reaching out to help. One that is dear to my heart is the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation in Kerrville, Texas, who quickly offered up the Quiet Valley Ranch (site of the festival), as a center to provide meals, camping, and resources to help both those in need of shelter and those who are volunteering in clean-up and recovery of the disaster. This is still an ongoing effort. Donations to the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation are welcomed to keep the kitchen and resources going.

In other parts of my world, I sadly had to cancel a few concerts and events in June due to a Covid diagnosis. Luckily, I have recovered and those dates have been rescheduled to August 2025. I apologize for the change, but I am glad that I was diagnosed before possibly spreading the crazy virus, and that we were able to bring these dates back on to the calendar. I look forward to seeing y'all at these events. One is a songwriting workshop and concert in Lewisville, TX on August 9th and 10th, and the other a concert in Johnson City, TX on August 23rd

Looking forward to fall, I'm excited about my upcoming Switzerland tour in September with my compadres Grouchy Like Riley (Danny Britt, Marvin Dykhuis, and Chip Dolan). It has been a while since I've played in Switzerland and I can't think of any better musicians to share the stage with than the Grouchies. Plus, it's going to be wonderful to see our Swiss fans again! If you're in Europe, please join us at one of these concerts.

Also in September, I'll be playing at the "Texas Women's Songwriter Festival" in Lockhart, Texas. This is the brainchild of my admirable singer-songwriter amiga Mandy Rowden. Check out the line-up and make sure to note that weekend on your calendars! Plus, Lockhart is famous for some of the best BBQ in Texas!

On December 14th, Lynn and I will be hosting one of our "Blue Truck Concerts" at the ranch in Tubac, Arizona. Our music guests for this concert will be Pete and Michael Ronstadt (Linda Ronstadt's nephews). I had the pleasure of touring with them last fall. They are both excellent songwriters, musicians, and storytellers. It's sure to be a special cultural, Christmassy, and entertaining event. If you're interested in tickets or want to be added to our Blue Truck Concerts email list, please contact Lynn at lynn24215@gmail.com

If you haven't visited the tiendita at my website in a while, please do! Stock up on any of my music including my once out of print works "Destiny's Gate" and "Dreaming From The Labyrinth". I'm happy to announce that we were granted permission from Warner Bros. to print and sell these titles under my label. And if you don't have my latest CD "With A Guitar & A Pen", buy it too!

As always, I truly appreciate your continued support. Have a wonderful summer!

Abrazos,

Tish
